Obama Wins NY District Of Jamaican American Congresswoman

Congresswoman Yvette Clarke is among the New York congressional delegates rooting for Senator Hillary Clinton. But on Tuesday, her district was overwhelmingly won by Illinois Senator Barack Obama.

The 11th congressional district, which includes all or parts of the neighborhoods: Brooklyn Heights, Brownsville, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Crown Heights, Ditmas Park, East Flatbush, Flatbush, Kensington, Park Slope, Prospect Heights and Windsor Terrace, saw voters casting their ballots for Obama despite their congressional representative’s unwavering support for Clinton.
